The Original Pancake House | Buffalo Restaurants
Monday, May 19th, 2008 |Despite the large amount of cars packed into the parking lot, the line inside the pancake house only had about 5 people. There is not a lot of space in the waiting area, which could be a problem for large breakfast parties. In only took 5 minutes for us to be seated, even though it was prime breakfast time.
You would never guess from the outside, but The Original Pancake House sits a lot of guests. There are a lot of tables and booths available. We asked for a booth and they had one available for us. Even though we were only two people, they had no problem giving us a booth.
We both had coffee and Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Of all the things great about the pancake house, the freshly squeezed orange juice takes the cake. The Original Pancake house is famous for its pulp filled orange juice that tastes like you are eating an orange. The orange juice is super expensive, but well worth the cost. Just don’t get a small, it is like drinking from a shot glass.
We loved our Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Of all the restaurants that make chocolate chip pancakes, the original pancake house puts the most chocolate chips in their pancakes. At the bottom of the plate you will have a big chunk of melted chocolate for you to eat with your fork.
We got our food in less than 10 minutes after we sat down. I have been to the original pancake house in Orchard Park at least 10 times in my life, and I can say that I wouldn’t return to a restaurant unless the food was excellent.
As far as a rating goes, I will give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
